The Sparta Historical Society spring exhibition is “Curt E. Engelbrecht: Views Through His Lens”.  Engelbrecht is known in Sparta as a local commercial photographer.  The exhibit explores the multi-dimensional career of Curt E. Engelbrecht.   Engelbrecht covered news, sports, celebrities as well as the everyday life of from the 1920’s through the 1950’s.  He is well known for his book "Neighbor John" that documents his relationship with John D. Rockefeller. 

The exhibit is sponsored by Perona Farms and Funding has been made available in part by the NJ Historical Commission through the County History Partnership Program, as administered by the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council.”
