The Creative Spirit: Homespun Arts - OPENING DAY

Sparta Historical Society's fall exhibit at Van Kirk Homestead Museum explores an era long before frequent home box delivery, even before department stores.  We will focus on a time when cloths and other necessities were made at home, 1820-1920, concentrating on homemade textiles: quilts, coverlets, lace, spinning, weaving, and clothing.
